'Dark Knight' is a profuse blooming cultivar with deep blue-purple flowers set against gray-green aromatic foliage. Flowers attract bees and butterflies. All bluebeards are best treated as a cutback shrub as stems usually dieback in winter and resprout anew the following spring. Also known as blue spirea.
